A Grand Old Lady
I've lived here for over 20 years and, to be honest, the town has a "lived in" feel to it, like a comfy pair of slippers!!! Things are happening with the rental houses scheme, the houses that are being done up for onward rental. Thing is there's a fine line between doing the town up and killing it stone dead.
Morecambe is a grand old lady and should be treated as such, gently with care and compassion.
The Bay Has Many Attributes
We moved here from Hampshire nearly four years ago. We love the sea air and access to walks along the prom. The surrounding areas are stunning and the bay has many attributes. The addition of the proposed Eden project in Morecambe will further enhance the local economy and investment is paramount to it's success.
Hopefully once dealing with Covid-19 is not paramount, It would also be lovely if more independent traders were encouraged to move into the town as variety in shopping is sorely lacking. This, along with the beautiful seaside location and any investment could be a prime marketing tool for the future and thoroughly worthwhile.
